PASSUS for the Planet: Cutting Carbon Footprint and Rewiring Corporate Responsibility

Since plastic doesn’t truly disappear and power strips require plastic casings, we focus on enhancing product durability. Research from Mariaenrica Frigione at the University of Salento demonstrates that high-performance materials such as PC, LCP, and ABS exhibit superior durability under harsh outdoor conditions including heat, rain, and radiation.

While PC offers superior impact and flame resistance, PASSUS uses a PC/ABS composite for product casings to combine strength and toughness, making it better suited for matte or sandblasted finishes. We also thicken the casing and refine the exterior design, bringing us closer to our vision of reducing plastic waste.

Sustainability extends beyond materials. We reuse the plastic bins and cardboard boxes to store all kinds of components, and stick to using paper boxes and cartons. While the master carton may show creases and scuffs from shipping, these imperfections represent our commitment to sustainability.
